Cinnamon Hot Toddy, infused with sunshine
My father is superman. He is constantly going, going, going. Even on the coldest winter day he is out and about. Last weekend he out for hours in the arctic cold, chopping wood. The sun was passed the yard arm when he came in to make a fire. When I asked what I could get him he declared a "Hot Toddy".
I had just brewed a pot of Harney's Hot Cinnamon Tea, so I decided to improvise. This is how I made that snow day staple special.
- 1 cup prepared Hot Cinnamon Tea from Harney & Sons
- 1/4 cup Orange Juice
- 1/8 cup The Knot (or your favorite Bourbon, rye whiskey, Irish whiskey or Scotch)
- Orange Vanilla Sugar(optional)
Place a metal spoon in a handled glass or mug. Add The Knot or spirit of your choice. Include Orange Juice and top off with prepared tea. Add sugar to your liking. Serve while still hot.
More sensational sips for snowy days.
