Creamy French Dressing
French Dressing is a guilty pleasure. It will make a simple salad something all together special. It takes a piece of beef to another place. It makes chicken miraculous and white fish a wonder.
A couple weekends ago I make it with tofu instead of mayonnaise. A little different but just as good. I enjoyed it on sandwiches, tacos and as a dip. I put some relish in it and pretended it was Russian and from the land of a 1,000 Islands, it was crazy good. I love french dressing.
- 1/4 cup Oregano & Thyme Vinegar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp Colman's Mustard Powder
- 1 tsp local honey
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 tsp Bayou Blackening Balm
- 1/3 cup Mayonnaise or Tofu
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Combine the all ingredients in a small bowl, while whisking constantly until the consistency is to your liking. Season, to taste, with salt and pepper.
