Port Wine Cheese Balls

Port Wine Cheese BallsLooking for a quick and easy appetizer for this Holiday Season? Port Wine Cheese Balls are the perfect recipe for your party. Simple to prep and serve, this recipe allows the cook to enjoy and not be stuck in the kitchen all day. Are you a cheese connoisseur? Try adding different types of cheese instead of  Cheddar, your options are limitless! Serve with the crackers of your choice. Enjoy and Happy Holidays, from our family to yours!

  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened or use chevre
  • 1/4 cup Tomato & Parsley Vinaigrette
  • 2 tbsp Port Wine
  • 1 lb shredded machengo or chedder cheese
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped



In an electric food processor or blender, combine cream cheese, Tomato & Parsley Vinaigrette and Port Wine. Blend well. Add Cheddar cheese and process until the Cheddar is fine, but still very visible. Shape the mixture into balls or logs. Wrap individually in plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 1 hour. Remove the balls from the freezer and roll them in the pecans. Serve Chilled.
