Sugar and Spice Nuts
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp Chinese 5 Spice, Russian Mulling Spice or Bayou Blackening Balm
- 2 tablespoons water
- 3 cups pecan halves or walnut halves
Melt butter in a 4 quart glass casserole dish in the microwave. Stir in the brown sugar, Chinese 5 Spice or Russian Mulling Spice and water. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir in the nuts so they are well coated. Microwave for 4 to 5 additional minutes on high, stirring every minute. Spread cooked nuts out onto parchment or waxed paper to cool. Enjoy at home or place nut mixture into a decorative container for a tasty holiday present.

What you've shared:
Tried this recipe but substituted Coconut Sugar for brown sugar as I always do these days - and mixed my own spices. Used 1/3 each pecan, walnunt and almonds. It was delicious and it's "all gone"!
