Simply Soup Mixes in Bags

Soup Mixes in Bags



Packaged in cellophane bags, this version will make up to 10 servings.  Find Directions and ingredients below.
 

 

Flavors

 

Salsa Bean Soup
In a large pot add the contents of this bag to


4 cups of water
Let sit overnight. When beans have softened, add
1 more cup of water (Vegetable or chicken stock may be substituted for water)
2 cups of crushed tomatoes
and bring to a boil. Set heat on low and let simmer for at least 2 hours. Add meat if you like and salt and pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.
Crock Pot Method: The night before, put contents of bag in crock pot with liquids and soak overnight. Next day, put on medium heat if cooking more than 8 hours. Cook on high if less than eight hours.


Ingredients: Kidney Beans, Pinto Beans, White Beans, Onion, Paprika, Garlic, Parsley, Red Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Oregano, Kosher Salt, Celery Seed, Black Pepper.
 
 
 
Split Pea Soup



In a large saucepan heat
5 cups of water (you may substitute vegetable or chicken stock for water)
and the contents of this bag. Boil first, then bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, for at least 45 min or until peas have softened to your liking. For added flavor either add
a ham bone
or saute
1 chopped carrot
1 celery stalk, chopped
1 small onion, minced
for about 5 min & add to the pot. Add salt & pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.
Crock Pot Method: Add contents of bag and liquids. Cook on medium heat if cooking more than 8 hours. Cook on high if less than eight hours.

Ingredients: Green & Yellow Split peas, Dill Salt (dill weed, sea salt, garlic and lemon peel), onion, garlic,  black pepper, crushed red pepper, oregano, rosemary, dill seed, celery seed, and caraway seed.

 
 
Corsican White Bean Soup


To this mixture add
4 cups of water (you may use vegetable or chicken stock if you prefer)
 
and let sit overnight. When beans have softened, add
1 more cup of water
and bring to a boil, then set the heat on low and let simmer for about 2 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.

Ingredients: White beans, Parsley, Sun-dried Tomatoes, tarragon, Onion, Garlic, Kosher Salt, Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Celery Seed, Dill Seed, Rosemary, Oregano, Caraway Seed and Sea Salt.
 
 
Black Bean and Barley Stew


To this mixture add
4 cups of water (you may use vegetable or chicken stock instead if you wish)
Let sit overnight. When beans have softened, add
1 more cup of water
and bring to a boil, then set the heat on low and let simmer for about 2 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.

Ingredients:  Black beans, white beans, barley, split peas, and Aussie Outback Rub  (Onion, Garlic, Sea Salt,  Coarse Ground Black Pepper,  Crushed Red Pepper, Celery Seed,  Dill Seed, Rosemary, Oregano, and Caraway.
 
 
Lentil and Barley Soup


In a large saucepan heat the contents of this bag and
8 cups of water (you may substitute vegetable stock for water)
1/4 cup tomato paste
1 28oz  jar pasta sauce
Bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until barley and lentils are tender to your liking, stirring occasionally, at least 1 ½ hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.
Crock Pot Method: Add contents of bag and liquids. Cook on medium heat if cooking more than 8 hours. Cook on high if less than eight hours.


Ingredients: Barley, Lentils, Aussie Outback Rub (Onion, Garlic, Kosher Salt, Coarse Ground Black Pepper, Crushed Red Pepper, Celery Seed, Dill Seed, Rosemary, Oregano, and Carraway.), and Herbs de Provence (Basil, Oregano, Marjoram, Thyme, Sage, & Rosemary).
 
Pasta e Fasul


Remove pasta. Combine bean and spice mixture with
2 cups water
and let sit  overnight. When softened, add
1 cup  water (you may use vegetable or chicken stock instead if you wish)
2 cups pasta sauce
Bring mixture to boil then set the heat on low and let simmer for about 2 hours. Add uncooked noodles just before ready to serve. Bring Pasta e Fasul back to a boil until pasta is cooked to your liking. Any leftover soup may be frozen.
Crock Pot Method: The night before, remove pasta and put the rest of the contents of bag in crock pot with liquids and soak overnight. Next day, add pasta and put on medium heat if cooking more than 8 hours. Cook on high if less than eight hours.

Ingredients: Rotini (durum semolina, niacin, iron, thiamine, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Pinto beans, red beans, white beans, Onion, Garlic, Parsley, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Tarragon, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Red Pepper, Celery Seed, Dill Seed, Rosemary, Oregano, Caraway Seed, & Kosher Salt.

 
Cajun White Bean Chili


To this mixture add
8 CUPS OF WATER
and let sit overnight. When softened, add
32 oz OF CRUSHED TOMATOES
16oz OF TOMATO PASTE
and bring to a boil, then set the heat on low and let simmer for at least 2 hours.
Crock Pot Method: The night before, put contents of bag in crock pot with liquids and soak overnight. Next day, put on medium heat if cooking more than 8 hours. Cook on high if less than eight hours.


Ingredients: White Beans, Bayou Blackening Balm,  (Paprika, Cayenne Pepper,  Ground Black Pepper, Garlic, Kosher salt, & Tarragon).

 
Basic Bean Soup Mix


To this mixture add
4 cups of water
and let sit overnight. When beans have softened to your liking, add
2 cups vegetable or chicken stock
and bring to a boil, then set the heat on low and let simmer for about 2 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste. Any leftover soup may be frozen.

Christmas Stew
