Mike Pekarski's Bratwurst
Pekarski Sausage makes and outstanding Brawurst. Filled with spiced pork and beef it is full of flavor. Spicy rather than hot is the perfect foil to that old standby, 'Hot Italian.'
Prior to these, I had never cooked a brat and was fortunate to get directions from the expert, Mike Pekarski."The best way to make bratwurst is by steaming it in a 1/2 inch of water. Cook over medium heat. Do not boil, our sausages are made with natural casings which will disintegrate and you will loose some flavor. When the water evaporates, remove them from the pan and place them on the grill with peppers and onions to brown. Serve on a proper bun with a dollop of good mustard."
