Old Favorites For Baking: Chocolate Chip Cookies
My favorite after-school treat when I was a kid were my mother’s chocolate chip cookies. No matter how hard my day was at school my mom knew just how to cheer me up. I would help her bake as soon as I came home from school, using cookie cutters to make all sorts of fun animals and shapes. We always made a huge mess of the kitchen but had a great time doing it. This mix allows you to enjoy my favorite treat anytime and with anyone.
Reserve chocolate chips in a small bowl. Preheat oven to 375f. In a mixing bowl combine the contents of this bag with
- 1/4 cup butter, softened (Or use canola oil for more heart healthy cookies)
- 1 egg
- ½ tbsp water
Add chocolate chips. Drop from teaspoon 2" apart onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 12 min or until cookies begin to brown. This bag yields approximately 2 dozen cookies.
Ingredients: Arrowroot and Rice Flours, cane sugar, chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, dextrose, soya lecithin), Russian Mulling Spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, coriander & special pure orange extract [alcohol, water and pure orange oil]), baking soda & kosher salt.
